At Victory Church Sriracha we’re celebrating a major breakthrough – on Sunday the 20th May 2018 101 people attended our Sunday service!
Praise God for what He’s doing in us and through us! New people are bringing new people. First timers are becoming second and third timers. Once casual Sunday attenders are getting plugged into Connect Groups.
Here’s 4 reasons why:
1. We stick to the vision plain and simple
It sounds simple because it is, but we’re determined to keep the main thing the main thing. I think it’s so easy to get distracted and waste out time and money on ‘special projects’ that look great on missions reports but don’t help us get any closer to fulfilling our prupose.
The vision of Victory Churches International is simple: reach, teach and mobilise. Anything we do that’s not directly impacting on reaching, teaching and mobilising people for God is a distraction that needs to be cut.
2. We’re stepping up the following up
Since late 2017 we’ve really stepped up the follow up ministry since sister Mary-Ann took the helm. She is a true Filipino gift to our church; her tenacity, persistence and passion has helped spur real culture change within our core leadership team.
If someone visits our church we make sure we get their contact info and call them the next day and visit them the next. Simple right?
And the results speak for themselves. Here’s what happened after we visited 79 people in just ONE month.
3. We’re connecting people to Connect Groups
Right now we have 9 connect groups across the city of Sriracha… and we’re starting new ones nearly every week.
Why are connect groups so important? Because it’s where people connect with God, connect with each other and connect with
4. We work as a team (and work super hard too)
I feel blessed to be part of such an outward focused church planting team led by pastors Sawang and Lee-Anne.
Yes we’ve got different gifts and strengths but put that together and it makes Yes we put the hours in and there’s days it’s really tough going but when you see God drawing people to Him it’s all worth it.
Here’s a few photos of some of amazing team members from this last Sunday:

Service with a smile 😀

In case you thought you could pass by us without noticing…!
Why I’m all about the numbers
Why do I love numbers so much? Because behind every number is a story transformation, an encounter with the living God, a life restored and a destiny discovered.
To put it simply, the higher the number, the more people that are being reached, discipled and mobilised.
Can you believe with us for a 200 member church? 300? 500?
We’re not backing down until we see disciple-making disciples planting church-planting churches in Thailand.
The best is absolutely yet to come in Jesus’ name! To hear about it first, make sure you subscribe for email updates here.
Thank you as always to those of you who financially support me month in and month out to make this possible. To those that faithfully pray for us and don’t forget me even though I’m on the missionfield. Without you this would not be happening.
Well done mate.Remember fondly the night we hosted you before you spoke at Create. You are welcome any time.Sounds like things are moving in a good and fast way for your Church.Brilliant!Tori and I are having a couple of additions to our family nov/dec time.Twins!God bless you and the Church.x
Twins?! Oh wow! You’re family is doubling just in time for Crimbo. Congratulations mate, you must be terrified but happy 😉
I had a great time too thank you for the offer, I must just have to take you up on that one day soon. Thanks for the encouragement Jeff, it means a lot.
Well done Simon. Praise God for all his wonderful ways. You look well and happy in your photos.
What a long time it seems since we were all together in Leeds. Alex came back from Zambia last week, had to gt homs to do some earning! Vicky should be back on Friday Its handy living here and act as a sleep over place for Heath Row flyers
I still go to the Baptist church which is close to me. We had an Away Day last week and and got good encouragement and the man who led it is coming again to take our service in a week or two. He definitely had a message for us and I hope people got inspiration from him, I did. His title was Dream Dreams and trust God to lead you. I needed that because as I get older and distinctly slower its. so easy to sink into a nice comfortable niche and just jog along. If He has a special job for me He will surely make me open my eyes and see it. So I wait to see, meanwhile I carry on with every day activities and prayers. Bless you, Simon, and I look forward to your next very interesting email – sometime next year ??? !!
Love in Jesus, Hilary
Bless you Hilary! Yes it’s easy to get in a comfort zone and just ‘coast along’ without even realising it sometimes. I love one of the tenets of Victory is we are for growth as opposed to maintenance. Pushing ahead always takes an intentional, well… push!
I saw all the photos coming out of Zambia, it looked like the UK team had a great time!
God bless your heart for missions Hilary, you’re an inspiration! And yes… I should be sending another email update out next week, hopefully not next year 😀 😀
